Druid build: choose a route that fits

Choose Balance for repeated Starfire and ranged spell coverage. Choose Feral when you want a melee form route. Cat Form and Dire Bear Form exclude each other, so decide whether the present run needs offensive mobility or the bear route before investing.[1]

Choose the route for your current character

These are conditional routes assembled from the original client’s talent descriptions. Check prerequisites and the points you have already spent in the game before following an endpoint. [1]

RouteTalents to inspectWhat makes it workCondition that changes the choice
BalanceOmen of Clarity → Starfall → Force of NatureStarfall adds a free Starfire every four seconds. Force of Nature adds two treants and changes the starting spell to Moonfire.A default Wrath start and a Force of Nature Moonfire start represent different talent states; neither makes the other source automatically wrong.
FeralFeral talents → Cat Form or Dire Bear FormCat Form increases offensive and movement stats and changes the start to Shred. The client explicitly makes Cat and Dire Bear mutually exclusive.A melee form changes where your damage is delivered. Being able to take a form does not remove the need to survive contact.

What to prioritise during the run

  1. For Balance, establish the actual ranged damage engine first; select Starfire support when repeated Starfire is your chosen route.
  2. Treat the treants as a late-tree addition unless Force of Nature is already active. Do not assume a fresh Druid has two summons.
  3. For Feral, choose one form direction and support the spells it uses, rather than dividing limited choices between mutually exclusive endpoints.
  4. If you cannot hold space around a pack, use control or recovery before another offensive modifier whose damage you cannot safely deliver.

This is an editorial choice order, not a guaranteed card sequence. The offered upgrades and your current permanent investment still determine which step is available. [1]

When the intended build is not ready

Without Starfall, do not calculate a free Starfire every four seconds. Without a form talent, keep the Wrath opening in mind when deciding what your first offered card must solve. A change in permanent talents is a better reason to change the route than a single unlucky offer.

Before changing the whole plan, identify the failure: no room to move, too little recovery, or too little damage on the target. Change the part that addresses that failure, then compare another run with similar talents and equipment.

Check the starter and trigger before copying a build

Baseline starter: Wrath. Talents can replace it; use the route conditions above rather than treating this as the opening for every developed character. [1]

Do not add Cat Form and Dire Bear bonuses together. Also keep the periodic free Starfire separate from ordinary Starfire cooldown upgrades; they are different sources of casts.

Record the game version, zone, difficulty, selected capstone, permanent equipment and the card that changed the run. Comparing two different progression states cannot establish that a single spell was better. Use the meter carefully →
