Discovery is not permanent equipment
The current Codex displays 142 entries: nine general rings, fourteen general trinkets, sixteen general amulets and class-specific legendary spell amulets. This is the v0.130.0 menu count, not a future catalog guarantee. It records items offered on any hero; an undiscovered silhouette does not prove that an item is unavailable to your current run. Caches, elites and guardians can supply offers. Legendary spell amulets require the corresponding known spell.[1]
The decision before an amulet replacement
- Read whether the offer empowers the worn item or takes its slot.
- Compare the spell you are actually using with the spell altered by the proposed legendary amulet.
- If a confirmation warns that the worn amulet is lost, compare both displayed effects before accepting. You wear one amulet at a time.
- If your plan depends on a particular effect, keep it until the replacement solves the actual failure point; a rarer label alone is not the answer.
Current text includes rank-specific added targets. It also retains generic empowerment wording, so do not assume every old blanket “all numbers triple” summary describes every current spell amulet. Use the particular rank preview; we have not measured all rank formulas.[1]
Solve the current constraint
| Failure point | Compare on the offer |
|---|---|
| Waves crowding you | Coverage, targets and repeat casts for the attack already doing damage. |
| Boss not dying | Effects that reach a lone boss; extra bounces or kill chains can lose value without adds. |
| Incoming damage ends attempts | Recovery or defence that works under your present conditions. |
| A planned spell never appeared | Keep a functioning fallback; an amulet cannot validate a build whose spell you do not know. |
These comparisons are editorial synthesis of the item and spell boundaries, not measured item rankings or guaranteed drop rates. Permanent class gear belongs in the Armory →[1]
