Find the next region and the next portal

The checked Season 2 rotation contains Viridian Forest → Rocky Desert → Storm Coast → Celestial Glacier. Clear the preceding region to open the next. Lavender Tower is a separate event; a Volcano Island data record is not proof of a selectable normal region.[2]

Check your version first

Version boundary: this guide covers the original pokebonk.com v0.8.55, checked October 26. Our Play window uses a separate third-party v0.8.27 source with separate progress. Newer co-op, Treasures and Archive changes may be absent there. Mechanics are SINGLE_SOURCE; no full-run, reward-claim or multiplayer completion test is claimed.

After a guardian: reward, then portal

  1. Follow the marked guardian/altar objective and its interaction prompt. Reaching an altar is different from defeating the guardian it calls.
  2. After the guardian defeat, locate its Great Ball reward. The v0.8.47 notes added an arrow and minimap guidance toward the reward, then the portal.
  3. Resolve the reward choice, then enter the available portal. In co-op, surviving teammates need to coordinate the portal rather than assuming pause stops the world.
  4. Repeat the current zone’s actual objective. A different palette or weather does not by itself mean another selectable region was unlocked.
  5. In an ordinary Classic zone, the checked client starts Final Swarm once the zone clock reaches 600 seconds (10:00); Tower, Survival and sanctuary rules are separate. Its enemies escalate while you remain there. This warning is not a “survive one more wave to unlock the portal” instruction: finish the guardian/reward/portal objective instead of waiting for the horde to end.

One final-wave question appears in a reply to Splatulated’s browser-client thread, sampled October 26. It is the same thread, not another independent report. We have not reproduced that player’s run or claimed a universal final-wave fix.

Do not turn every biome record into a route

The public bundle has six named biome records, but its Season 2 selection list has four. Graveyard/Lavender is used by the seasonal Tower mode. Volcano Island’s stored name and prerequisite are not an instruction that it can currently be selected. Check the actual region menu; this guide does not publish a guessed Volcano unlock.

Hard and Nightmare are difficulty progression, separate from opening the next region. A map’s availability does not establish that every teammate has its requested difficulty unlocked.
