Megabonk All Skins Guide

From the prestiguous Gold Mode to the hardcore speedrun variants. Learn the universal unlock template required to access the cosmetic wardrobe for every playable character in 2026.

⚠️ Important Notice: Skins provide zero stat bonuses. They are entirely cosmetic. Furthermore, achieving an unlock condition only makes the skin available; you must still purchase the outfit with Silver inside the Character Selection screen.

🔓 The 4 Universal Unlock Templates

Instead of memorizing 80+ specific skin requirements, the Megabonk aesthetic system is built around 4 standardized milestone challenges for every character on the roster.

1. The Speedrun Variant

Requirement: Play as the character and defeat the very first Stage Boss in under 6 minutes.

Examples: White Sir Oofie, Light Fox, Future CL4NK, Acid Calcium, Street Monke.

2. The Genocide Variant

Requirement: Defeat a total of 15,000 enemies over your lifetime playing as that specific character.

Examples: Black Sir Oofie, Dark Fox, Dark Calcium, Ice Monke.

3. The Tier 3 Variant

Requirement: Successfully defeat the Final Boss of a Tier 3 Run while playing as that character.

Examples: Fire Sir Oofie, Fire Calcium, Blaze CL4NK, Dark Fox.

4. The Gold Prestige

Requirement: Grind that individual character's level/rank up to the absolute maximum of Rank 100.

Outputs: Gold Sir Oofie, Gold CL4NK, Gold Monke, etc.

Skin Cosmetic FAQ

Do skins give any stat bonuses in Megabonk? No, all skins in Megabonk are purely cosmetic. They do not alter your stats, hitboxes, or abilities in any way. They are strictly to show off your achievements.
How do I unlock Gold skins? To unlock the "Gold" variant for any character, you must grind their individual character level to the maximum rank (Rank 100). Afterwards, purchase it with Silver. We recommend hoarding XP Tomes to speed up the process.
Why can't I equip a skin I just unlocked? Unlocking a skin's achievement is only the first step. You must then go to the Character Select menu and purchase the skin using Silver before you can equip it.
Will there be more than 4 skins per character? As of the 2026 patches, each core character follows the 4-variant template. However, seasonal updates and hidden characters (like Kevin) may receive unique event-based skins in the future.
