Plan support Alpha slots and first-type bonuses

Normal support capacity starts at two. The Support team Lab upgrade adds one, and S.S. Ticket adds one for the run. A shiny support is separate from the normal team limit. Use the planner to compare first-type bonuses rather than treating support slots as extra move slots.[1][2]

Plan a hypothetical support team

Only enabled normal slots count. Reducing capacity clears the removed selections. This local type-only plan does not prove you will encounter or capture the required species. It neither reads your account nor changes the main planner’s fixed panel.

The source applies a support’s first type, not both types. A shiny doubles that type’s contribution. Poké Doll scales it by 1 + 0.5 × copies; two copies mean 2×, not 2.25×. Positive percentage bonuses in the shared support group add their increments. Flat bonuses add.

Keep support capture and League capture separate

  1. Find and weaken an Alpha in the actual run.
  2. Use the support/Friend Ball interaction shown by the game; the support is for this run.
  3. If the normal team is full, decide which support to release before assuming the capture adds a free slot.
  4. Recheck capacity when selling S.S. Ticket. The source trims normal supports when the team exceeds the new cap.

A support Alpha does not permanently unlock its League partner. Legendary League membership and shiny capture have their own .63 rules.
