Plan a Survival run by its next milestone

Survival is an endless run, not the three-zone Classic clear. Plan around five-minute boss checkpoints and your next survival target; Viridian Forest’s listed special milestones are Mew at 15, Moltres at 30 and Mewtwo at 45 minutes.[1]

Checked October 28, 2026 · Beta v0.8.62 · Source-based guide

Use the Forest milestone timeline

Applies to the original v0.8.62; our embedded Play edition is v0.8.27. Calculations are source-derived, not gameplay measurements.

Elapsed timeViridian Forest checkpointYour decision
05:00 / 10:00Guardian checkpointsRestore control and read the post-boss pact before choosing.
15:00Mew milestoneA milestone encounter is not the same as an unlocked League capture.
30:00Moltres milestoneCheck survival/control and the curse costs already accepted.
45:00Mewtwo milestone; Endless Night beginsExpect continued pressure rather than a Classic victory screen.

This is the checked Forest reference. Do not copy its named bosses to every region or mistake elapsed times for a promise that a boss dies immediately.

Choose a pact by its cost as well as its power

After a milestone boss, read both parts of the offered pact: the benefit and its curse. A damage increase is not automatically useful if its cost removes the defense keeping the run alive. Keep a note of curses already accepted so later choices are assessed against the whole run.

Before committing, ask whether your draft can still move, recover and control incoming enemies. Our planner records a draft; it does not calculate a pact-adjusted survival time.

[1]

Prepare for continued pressure

The configuration places Endless Night at 2,700 seconds. Staying alive beyond that point is continued progression, not a hidden Classic completion. Avoid treating a movement-only draft as an indefinite escape strategy.

Choose the next achievable checkpoint, keep attacks that actually reach the horde, and recheck recovery after each major upgrade. These are editorial planning steps, not a tested record build.

[2]

Separate score, time and unlock progress

The client tracks several outcomes. An endless score can include kills, time, damage, bosses and legendary encounters, while the Survival board description ranks elapsed time first and uses KOs to break ties. Record mode and region alongside the number you compare.

A boss encounter does not bypass the partner’s League challenge or capture requirements. Use the partner database before spending a long attempt on an unlock it cannot satisfy.

[1]

Before the next attempt

  1. Confirm Survival and the intended region in preparation.
  2. Check your partner’s actual attacks, control options and Lab budget.
  3. Set a next-checkpoint target rather than assuming an endless win condition.
  4. After the run, record elapsed time, accepted curses and the immediate cause of failure.

Read all nine pact trade-offs

PactBenefitCostListed repeat limit

Glass Pact+40% crit damage and +10% crit−20% max HP2
Thorny PactOne more vitamin slotYou heal 30% less1

These are the current .63 client definitions, not a promise that every pact is offered at every checkpoint. Choose for the problem your run can handle. A repeat limit is not a recommendation to take that pact to its limit.

Curse stacking is not always additive: two Horde selections multiply wild amount by 1.25 twice (1.5625×); two Iron selections multiply wild HP by 1.35 twice (1.8225×). Glass applies a 0.8 max-HP factor per pick, while its positive modifiers use the client’s grouped stat rules. Judge benefit and cost separately.

[3]

For an enemy-count problem, Horde or Elite can make pressure worse. For a recovery problem, Thorny reduces healing and Glass reduces the HP margin. These are editorial decision checks based on the stated costs, not tested winning pact sequences.

The source uses region-specific guardian pools for ordinary Survival checkpoints. This page does not claim a completed run through every regional sequence. Classic shrine solutions should not be copied to an endless guardian just because the region name matches.
