Check the status before choosing the follow-up hit

A combat reaction needs a status already on the target and a compatible later hit. This is different from combining moves at Bill’s Machine. Use the checker to identify a possible reaction, then verify that your kit can create its prerequisite.[1]

Check a reaction condition

Source snapshot: original v0.8.63, checked October 28. This checker evaluates one existing status at a time; it does not simulate simultaneous statuses, hit chance, damage or a completed fight.

Read the trigger and what gets consumed

Existing statusFollowing typeResultReaction layerEffect / limit
wetelectricElectrocuted1.5×Consumes Wet; can chain to other Wet enemies. The splash is a separate hit, not this multiplier.
burnwaterSteam1.4×Consumes Burn; nearby enemies can be confused and rooted.
burngrass / flyingWildfire1.3×Spreads Burn to nearby enemies; periodic damage is a separate calculation.
freezefighting / rock / steelWreckage2.6×Consumes Frozen; an Ice splash can hit nearby enemies. Frozen damage amplification is another layer.
poisonfireToxic Gas1.4 + 0.1 × poison stacksConsumes Poison and its stacks; the reaction factor is 1.4 + 0.1 × existing poison stacks. Splash uses its own factor.
paralysispsychicMind Collapse1.6×Consumes Paralysis and applies Confusion.
charmdragonDragon Fury2×Requires Charmed; the checked branch does not consume Charm.
sleepghost / darkNightmare1.7×The extra 1.7× is separate from the normal 1.8× sleeping-target hit. The hit normally wakes the target; Awakening can change that.
weticeWet → Freeze setupApplication condition, not a damage multiplierIf an Ice hit successfully applies its Freeze status, a Wet target gets the three chill stacks needed to freeze. An Ice type alone does not guarantee its status roll.

The 0.25-second gate in the reaction routine is shared by reaction key within the combat instance, not an independent allowance for every enemy. Nightmare and Wet-to-Freeze setup follow separate branches. Other damage layers can apply before or after these factors.

Make the prerequisite real

  1. Find a selected move or item that can apply the required status. An attack’s type alone is not proof of its status effect.
  2. Apply the status first. In the checked hit routine, reaction evaluation precedes the current hit’s own status roll.
  3. Use a compatible following hit while the status still exists. Boss resistance, status duration and consuming effects can change the opportunity.
  4. Inspect the resulting behavior in your run. The planner flags potential routes, not a guaranteed proc.
